Announces Custom Contests


There will 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners in each category

and prizes will be $75, $50 and $25 in show dollars!


All contest entries must be in before 11:30 AM June 10th, 2017. Judging will start at 2:00 PM and the winners will be announced at 2:30 PM. Entry forms will be available at the show.

The DFW G.I. Joe and Action Figure Show reserves the right to change contest rules at any time.

Contests


Custom Figure Contest Rules

1. Figure must be stand-alone but can be mounted to a base which is NOT included in the judging. Base should not exceed 12 by 12 inches.

 2. Multiple figures can be entered if they are a team or group themed. Extra figures will be excluded from judging.

 3. You can choose any theme as long as it is in good taste. If it is deemed to be of poor taste or contain inappropriate material you will be asked to remove it from display as this is a family oriented show.

 4. Judging includes: Technical aspects, creativity, and the use of action figure(s).

 5. If mounted on a base all items on the base need to be secure so that show staff can move them if needed.

 6. Once the figure is on the table and given a card it cannot be altered in any way, shape, or form UNLESS a repair needs to be made and that repair can only be a fix and nothing can be added or removed unless show staff find something inappropriate.

 

Custom Diorama Contest Rules

1. Diorama must not exceed 22"X 22" square. It can be smaller. It needs to fit on a banquet table.

 2. Must have at least one action figure in the diorama. Creativity counts.

 3. You can choose any theme as long as it is in good taste. If it is deemed to be of poor taste or contain inappropriate material you will be asked to remove it from display as this is a family oriented show.

 4. Judging includes: Technical aspects, creativity, and the use of action figure(s).

 5. All items on the diorama need to be secure so that show staff can move dioramas if needed.

 6. Once the diorama is on the table and given a card it cannot be altered in any way, shape, or form UNLESS a repair needs to be made and that repair can only be a fix and nothing can be added or removed unless show staff find something inappropriate.

 

Custom Vehicle Contest Rules

1. Vehicle needs to fit on a banquet table with 2 to 3 other vehicles.

 2. Vehicle is stand alone and all other items included are support and have no bearing on judging. Crewed vehicles (Tanks, APC's, Jeeps, and so on) with crews are the exception. Crews must be in place.

 3. You can choose any theme as long as it is in good taste. If it is deemed to be of poor taste or contain inappropriate material you will be asked to remove it from display as this is a family oriented show.

 4. Judging includes: Technical aspects, creativity, and the use of action figure(s).

 5. All items on the Vehicle need to be secure so that show staff can move Vehicle if needed.

 6. Once the Vehicle is on the table and given a card it cannot be altered in any way, shape, or form UNLESS a repair needs to be made and that repair can only be a fix and nothing can be added or removed unless show staff find something inappropriate.

 7. There are many vehicles out there in the 1/6th Scale realm that are pre-made and sold to the public. This contest is about creativity. Make it look good and be creative.


Registration forms will be at the show this year instead of being online.
